This phase of eczema is most commonly seen in infants and children, though it can be present in adults with nummular eczema or who live in more moist environments. According to Chinese Herbal Medicine theory, we say this wet presentation of eczema is Damp Heat with Toxins and Wind. The herbs in this ointment are chosen, according to Chinese Herbal Medicine, for their ability to Clear Heat, Dry Damp, Eliminate Wind and Resolve Toxins. *

Apply a thin layer of ointment to affected skin 3 to 5 times per day. If skin feels damp or is actually weeping fluid, sprinkle Solution EC: Damp Heat Herbal Powder to absorb the exudate instead of using an ointment. If skin gets dry when lesions dry up or between eruptions of vesicles, apply Solution EC: Damp Heat Herbal Cream.
